On March 28th, the musicians of China and Korea hold a China and Korean Concert hand in hand at Baoli Theater in Beijing, starting the prologue of the cultural activities of the Year of Exchanges. Present at the concert are Minister Sun Jiazheng, Nam Kong Jin, Senior Officer of Korean Ministry of Culture and Sightseeing and Choi Sung-hong,Senior Officer of Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade.

Conducted by a well-known Korean conductor, China Symphony Orchestra and its chorus form the main force of the concert. After the excellent solo performance given by four Korean musicians respectively, they also sing in chorus the Movement 4 of the 9th Symphony of Beethoven's Ode to Joy. The concert begins with Bizet's Overture of Carman, giving an animated and lively atmosphere. After the intermission, the orchestra plays the symphonic poem Arirang, making the audience relaxed and joyful with its exquisite melody.
