The curtain is officially drawn open at the local time of March 29th in Seoul, Korea for the activities of In Commemoration of 10th Anniversary of Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between China and Korea -- A Year of Exchange between the Peoples of China and Korea. Among the activities in Korea are the performances given by the Chinese Shaolin Martial Arts Performance Troupe and large-scale song and dance ensemble. Within the year, more activities will be held in Korea, such as the Chinese Culture Expo, the Chinese Movies Week and the Series Show of the Chinese Well-known Historical and Cultural Cities.

When surveying the Cultural Center of China in Korea on March 30th, Sun Jiazheng, Chairman of the Organizing Committee on the Chinese side for the series activities for A Year of Exchanges between the Peoples of China and Korea and Minister of the Cultural Ministry, says Our cultural exchanges with other countries are to be transformed from a guerilla warfare to a positional warfare. At present, it is situated at a transitional period. According to the information revealed by Minister Sun, so far China has established Cultural Center of China in France, Malta, Egypt and Korea. It is planned that this kind of Cultural Center is to be built in Germany and some other countries this year. The service object of the Center is the ordinary people, particularly the young people, and the purpose is to introduce to the world the age-old history of China and its vigorous today.
