To mark 30th anniversary of normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan, the Li Geng and Chen Yunlu Painting Show was held on October 5th at Japan Onba's Chinese Modern Art Gallery. The Cultural Office of Chinese Embassy in Japan, Chinese Consulate-General in Osaka, Japan-China Friendship Association and Japan-China Cultural Exchange Society backed the exhibition.

Li Geng and Chen Yunlu are both young painters residing in Japan, active in Japanese art circle in recent years. During the exhibition period, associate professor of Japanese Ootemae University and noted critic of Chinese fine arts Shioda Masahiro is to deliver an address at the gallery entitled Locus of Modern Chinese Painting on November 3rd, the Japanese Cultural Day.

Japan Onba Chinese Modern Art Gallery is located at Asiya, where lots of Chinese art exhibitions are held every year. The galley is also in friendly business contacts with domestic art circles.

The exhibition will come to a close on December 23rd.
