To celebrate 30th anniversary of normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan, Chinese Embassy in Japan held a film reception on October 15th. The Sino-Japanese co-produced film Life of a Hero -- Zheng Chenggong was projected at the embassy's film projection hall. Former Japanese Autonomy Minister and Member of House of Representatives Ishi Hitoshi, Chairman of Japan-China Association Shiranishi Sinitirou and an audience of 100-plus from various circles in Japan, attended the reception on invitation. Distinguished Japanese actress Simada Yohko, who plays the role of Zheng Chenggong's mother in the film, and President of Niiktu Limited Company Nakamura Masaya also attended the reception on invitation.

The film was co-shot by China Film and TV Audiovisual Exchange Society, Someno Film Producing and Releasing Company, and Japan Enterprise Film Workroom. Fujian Film Studio and Hunan Film Studio joined in the shooting. The film successfully portrays the heroic image of Zheng Chenggong and eulogizes Chinese nation's commendable patriotic tradition. Noted director Wu Ziniu was in charge of the film. The well-known Hong Kong young actress Jiang Qinqin and Japanese actress Simada Yohko co-starred the film.

It happens to be 50th anniversary of the founding of Niiktu Limited Company, one of the five leading film studios in Japan this year. The company plans to project the film nationwide in Japan, first in Tokyo on November 2nd.
