Forum of China-Japan-ROK Youth Leaders Opens in Tokyo

To mark the Year of Exchange Among China-Japan-ROK People, a Forum of China-Japan-ROK Youth Leaders co-sponsored by Japan International Exchange Foundation Asian Center, Korean International Exchange Financial Group, and Chinese Modern International Relations Research Institute was opened on November 13th in Tokyo. 15 youth leaders aged at 30-40 from political, governmental, financial, academic and media circles of the three countries joined in the forum. China National Administration Institute, China Electronic Information Industry Group, Hong Kong Phoenix Satellite TV Station, China Modern International Relations Research Institute, and China National Space Flight Administration sent young leaders to take part in the forum. They are to visit Japan, Korea, and China in a period of two weeks and operate full exchanges in their respective fields.

On November 15th, the Asia Center of Japan International Exchange Foundation held a commemorative reception for the forum in Tokyo. Officials of Chinese Embassy in Japan, officials of Korean Embassy in Japan, former Japanese Minister of Education, and Director of General Affairs Agency of Liberal Democratic Party Nomura Nobutaka, nearly 100 in number, attended the reception.

President of the international exchange foundation Fujii Hiruaki said at the reception, As this is the first time that a forum among China-Japan-ROK youth leaders is held, we hope that it will help to boost friendly exchanges among youth leaders of the three countries in their respective fields, to enhance mutual understanding and trust among the future leaders of the three countries so as to promote world peace and Friendship.
