At 5 o'clock p.m. December 21 and 10 o'clock a.m. December 24, Japanese NHK television station broadcasted twice the program of Sino-Japanese Tribune on the satellite channel BSI, evoking strong repercussions from the viewers.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan, a Sino-Japanese Forum activity co-sponsored by Sino-Japanese Cultural Year Chinese Organizing Committee and 2002 Japanese Year and Chinese Year Japanese Operation Committee was held on October 2 at the broadcast studio of CCTV. On October 13 and 14, the program was broadcasted on CCTV 2 (economic, life and service channel).

The Sino-Japanese Forum, as one of important activities in Sino-Japanese Cultural Year, was vigorously supported by relevant departments such as ministry of culture, ministry of foreign affairs, state council information office and state administration of radio, film and television. The forum is comprised of two parts: the first part is participated by distinguished entrepreneurs such as Li Dongsheng, president of the board of directors of China TCL Group Company Limited, Yang Yuanqing, president of Legend Group Company Limited, Liu Xiaoguang, managing director of Capital Chuangye Group Company Limited, Okuda Seki, president of Japanese Federation of Economic Organizations, Ide Nobuyuki, president of board of directors of Sony Company and Miyauti Yoshihiko, president of ORIX Company; the second part is participated by young entrepreneurs of the two countries including Ding Jian, president of board of directors of Yaxin Science and Technology (China) Company Limited, Wang Jiajian, president of Meitong Company Limited, Ma Yun, president of Alibaba China Share Holding Company Limited, Yanai Hiroshi, Ito Joiti, and Ieki Kentarou, presidents of Japanese Ticket Pia Company Limited. Joined by the audience at the forum, the entrepreneurs of the two countries fully exchanged views on Sino-Japanese economic and cultural exchanges.
