 Upon invitation, world-famous actress Gong Li and actor Jackie Chan
held the post of  "image
ambassadors" of the Sino-France Cultural Year in 2003-04 in France.
Image ambassadors, who are chosen by both sides
of the Sino-France Cultural Year Committee, should be young, famous and willing
to promote such an event.
Often
wearing Chinese-style costumes on formal or informal occasions, Chan showed his
support and admiration for Chinese culture. He said he was very glad to be image
ambassador and that he will consult his company about coordinating the filming
and promotion for the event.
