Luoyang, China's famous city of peonies in Henan Province, has nearly 10 million peony trees, with more than 700 species. Due to its favorable climate conditions and nutrients in the soil, Luoyang has become a unique garden for cultivating different types of gorgeous peonies.

The Luoyang Peony Festival is held each year from April 15-25. During this event, the whole city becomes a sea of blooming peony trees lining almost every street and corner. The scene is attractive to both the residents of Luoyang and lovers of beauty from all over.
