Baota Mountain in Yan'an

Baota Mountain, 1135.5 meter-high, was called Jialing Moutain in ancient
times. It is located in the southeast part of Yan'an city. Standing on the top
of the mountain, we can see the whole of the Yan'an urban area. The name of the
mountain comes from the pagoda on the top, which was built during the Ming Dynasty . . 'Baota' is Chinese for pagoda. The pagoda is
a nine-floor octagon-shaped tower made from brick which is about 44 meters high.
Baota Mountain is the symbol of the base area for the historical Chinese
revolution.

Longyuankou is located on the side of Jinggang Mountain, which is a national
scenic resort. Longyuankou was the place where the Red Army made the first win
of defensive war, the Longyuankou Triumph. The Qiuxi branch office of the
Communist party is also here.
