Antique Furniture
There is a long history of antique furniture in China. Chinese furniture
evolved with the changes of peoples' habits. In the Neolithic age, China began
to produce furniture, though it was very simple and crude. The height of
furniture at that time was very low due to people's habit of kneeling or sitting
cross-legged on a platform. In the Song Dynasty, taller furniture became popular
and played an important role in people's daily life. Antique furniture further
had developed in craftsmanship, shape, structure, and decoration since the Song
Dynasty, reaching its zenith in the Ming and Qing dynasties, each with its own
distinctive artistic style.

Tips for antique furniture care:
Keep your treasures hidden from the sun. Wooden furniture
should be kept in a clean, cool, dry, well-ventilated area, and out of the sun's
harmful rays. The temperature should be kept between 55 and 75 degrees to
prevent distortion.
Wax cork furniture twice a year to keep it in good condition.
Use a soft shoe brush to clean the delicate inlays. A
cloth alone will miss the dirt, and other brushes may damage the wood.
