the remnants of the Saint Paul Cathedral, which was built in 1637 and destroyed
by fire in 1835. The Ruins of St. Paul have become a symbol of Macau and makes a
great tourist destination.
,The Macau Tower The 338-meter-high tower is the tallest
in Macau and also the world's 10th tallest free standing tower. To attract more
tourists, the city offers a free shuttle from the port to the tower. On the top
of the tower, people can do tower climbing, take the skywalk or sky jump.
,Transportation fare The standard taxi fare runs at MOP1
(RMB: 1.02 yuan) per 200 meters. The starting fee for the first 1,500 meters is
MOP10 (RMB: 10.2 yuan). Bus fare is MOP2.5 (RMB: 2.55 yuan) per person
within the Macau Peninsula; MOP3.3 (RMB: 3.37 yuan) to Taipa Island; MOP4-5
