A Wealth of Chinese Springs

Sister Spring

Two springs located in Sali Village on the northern part of Zhengzhou, Henan Province , vary greatly in temperature although they are near one another. The spring above 32 C has been dubbed the hot spring by locals; the other, which reaches below 18 C, is called the cold spring.

Milk Spring

Milk Spring is located in the southwest of Guiping County, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region . At 9:00 am and 9:00 pm every day, the spring water turns milky and then runs limpid. The famous Xishan Tea is irrigated with water from this spring and the famous "Maotai in Guangxi" wine is also brewed with it. With its abundant supply of oxygen, the spring also boasts the best soft water in China.

Coin-bearing Spring

It is named as Hupao Spring in the West Lake, Hangzhou . The surface tension of water in the spring is so extraordinary that a coin in the spring is not going to sink. When the water is contained in a cup, the water of the will not overflow even when its surface is two or three millimeters above the rim of the cup.

Geyser

At the foot of the Gangdisi Mountain in Tibetan Autonomous Region , there is a famous geyser. The water column at the mouth of geyser rises and falls tenderly repeatedly before it erupts. Then all of a sudden, a white water column with a diameter of about two meters and a height of more than 100 meters soars into the sky. Emitting warm steam, the column turns into a blast of rain in the air. The geyser lasts for a while and resumes tranquil after a while.
