Jinsha: a Glimpse of the Splendid Civilization of Ancient Sichuan

Jinsha Site is constituted of many different functional areas, including sacrifice area, palace area, graveyard and residential area. Viewing the scale, function separation of the site as well as the amount and quality of cultural relics unearthed, Jinsha is another regional political and cultural center of the civilization of ancient Shu. Some experts even think that Jinsha Site was probably the capital site of ancient Shu Kingdom at one time. As one of the most important archaeological discoveries in China at the beginning of 21st century, Jinsha Site has filled up many historical blanks in China's archeology field. The discovery of this site has proved that the former viewpoint of 'The region of Shu was savage and wild in Shang and Zhou Dynasties' is wrong. At that time, there were not only civilization in the region of Shu, but also it was very brilliant.

Jinsha Site Museum, which is built in conformity to the standard of international museum, will be formally open to the public at the end of this year. At that time, visitors will have the opportunity to feel the national treasure-level cultural relics unearthed from Jinsha Site in a close distance.
