Vendors would gather in and around the temple to sell food and toys. Entertainment activities also attracted a lot of people.

Temple fair at the Pantao Palace

The Pantao Palace (Peach of Immortality Temple) temple fair was also known as the Goddess temple fair because two Goddesses were worshipped here. The temple fair lasted from the 1st to the 3rd of March, because legend had that the Mother Goddess of Heaven held the banquet of immortal peaches on March 3rd. Pantao was where people could have a spring outing, replete with vaudevilles and snacks outside the temple.
