"Celebrations at the Legendary Jasper Lake"

The 1.8-meter-long carving is vividly depicted with 116 figures in Chinese
mythology. The carving derives from a Chinese mythology where all the legendary
figures gather together to have a ceremonious birthday party for the empress in
the heaven. In the carving, the figure of the empress is sitting in the center,
graceful and dignified.
The carving was done by Li Fengqiang, Director of Mei Cheng Da (Li's) Arts
& Crafts Sculpture Institute which is based in Putian, Fujian Province .
The wood carving screen wall
It's a late Qing treasure from Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. At 3-meters-tall, 4-metesr-wide, and 1.5

wood carving, enchasing, gilding, calligraphy, and painting. The carved content derives from the
theatre stories in the late Qing Dynasty. All the animals and carved flowers
have auspicious connotations. Red, gold, and black dominate the artifact.
Calligraphy was done by Deng Shiru, a master calligrapher in the Qing Dynasty,
with different calligraphy styles including regular script, official script, running script, and cursive script.
