"Painting" with Flowers
n Step 3 Composition of a
picture
Composing a picture with dried flowers is a subjective step. The more
creative works are the most attractive, but some rules should still be followed.
For example, the quality, shape and color of the raw materials should be
inspected prior to starting to the project. Based on the type of flowers being
used, the pattern can be adjusted.
n Step 4 Paste
Pasting is meticulous work. Glue must be smeared on the back of the flowers
so that they will firmly adhere to the board being used. It's important to
preserve the flowers and keep the petals from falling off during the pasting
process.
n Step 5
Conservation
Once the pressed flowers are finished, steps should be taken to keep them
colorful and dry.
The style of pressed flower art
The natural, simple style of pressed flower makes the art form popular with
Westerners. For example, it is an Italian custom to press flowers or mint stalks
on blessing cards to express good wishes.

Japanese pressed flowers are very delicate and gorgeous, which represent the
style of the Japanese. Every flower and leaf is perfectly pressed.
In China, the pressed flowers may be used for scientific and teaching
purposes. The styles of pressed flowers are various, some of which combine the
elements of traditional Chinese painting with the pressed flowers, exhibiting
the elegance of Chinese culture.
