Guangxi Baiyue Culture Exhibition
The area changed leadership again when Emperor Wudi of the Western
Han Dynasty (206BC-24AD) took back most of the area from the Southern Yue
Kings, and established nine counties. Since then, the area has been a part of
the Chinese nation.
From the Qin Dynasty era, Xi'ou and Luoyue, two large branches of the Baiyue
tribe, frequently communicated with the northern Han people and gradually
adopted many of their practices. Most of their descendents live in today's South
China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the northern part of Vietnam.
