A saying in Hong Kong movie circles goes that if you want to secure box-office success, have Lau make it. His previous works include a series of comedies such as A Chinese Odyssey, A Chinese Odyssey Part Two-Cinderella, and The Eagle Shooting Heroes.

It was the only comedy film in the holiday market. As a final episode of the classic series comedy A Chinese Odyssey, it will surely draw lots of its fans to the cinema.

The film is a parody of the masterpiece Journey to the West, which tells the story of a sincere Asian monk and his three disciples¡¯ pilgrimage for Buddhist scriptures. Director Lau gives full play to his unrestrained and vigorous imagination, depicting a Yamato-e of the mundane world.

As the film industry develops, the market is witnessing the enrichment of genres and ever blooming year-end entertainment consumption. More films have been made for the New Year film market, ushering in a vibrant and competitive age.
