Liao Bingxiong

Liao Bing-xiong was born in the city of Guangzhou in South China's Guangdong Province in 1915. Before he started drawing comics, he worked as a teacher and art director. He drew antiwar illustrations during World War II, after which he joined a comics artists organization in Hong Kong. In the early 1950s he returned to the mainland, where he drew many children's comics, such as "Fairy Tale Comics" for the magazine Little Friend Bimonthly.
