Its missions include:

The tasks for this department are to: guarantee the treatment of retirees due to their political status; make clear their health, studies and life; transmit their opinions and request to correspondent department to properly solve their problems; uniformly organize retirees to participate in various activities for political reasons, major festivals, health treatment, lectures, visits to agricultural or industrial construction project, spring and autumn outing; make guidance to the work of retirees in institutions directly under the Ministry of Culture; pay visit to the retirees and arrange cars for the retired personnel.
