Beijing Poly Plaza International Theater

Designed by the well-known British TT International Stage Designing Company Ltd., the Beijing Poly Plaza International Theater has first class facilities and management service in China. With 1,230 seats and a VIP section, the comfortable auditorium, 18 meters wide and 31 meters long, is divided into two floors. The front stage is 18 meters wide, 10 meters high and 22 meters deep. The stage facilities consist of 30 automatic booms and 30manual booms, 3 double rod elevating stages, an elevating orchestra pit that can accommodate 90 musicians, the elevating anti-reverberating cover, advanced lighting control system, top quality acoustic system, a system for simultaneous interpretation in 6 languages and a film projecting system. The Theater can host performances of ballet, opera and concert as well as large-scale international conference and film show. The Ministry of Culture graded it as a Type A theater in 1998.

Throughout the years, the Theater has cooperated with the Ballet Troupe of the Central Opera and Ballet Theater, China Opera and Dance Drama Theater, China Acrobatic Troupe, China Symphony Orchestra, Oriental Song and Dance Ensemble and Guangzhou Ballet Troupe as well as overseas art groups from Russia, Japan, Korea and etc.in organizing many successful cultural events. It has also hosted many outstanding events and activities such as International Jazz Week, National Yinghuang Cup Singers Contest, 97 Hong Kong Return Party, Spring Festival Party sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and CCTV and Beijing International Film Week.
