Hong Kong Repertory Company
The Hong Kong Repertory Company was established by the Urban Council in June 1977. Since its establishment, more than one hundred and seventy original works have been presented. The company has repertoire as follows: Flowers Near the High Building, I Have a Date with Spring, The View of a Stockade Village, De Ling and Ci Xi and so on. The company performed English well-known drama No Kidding and There is Sentiment in the World written by Du Guowei on invitation in Guangzhou in 1985 and 1987. It toured San Francisco, Toronto, New York with Flowers Near the High Building written by Chen Yiying in June 1989 and joined Asia Artistic Festival of Singapore with the work of Yang Shipeng, Yan Xijiao on invitation in June 1995, and attended the academic exchange of 96 Chinese Traditional Opera with a famous American drama The Daughter of Second God.

The leading artists under the Company are Yang Shipeng (director, representative work The View of Stockade Village); He Weiling (director, representative work The Servant of Two Masters), Du Guowei (playwright representative work I Have a Date with Spring); He Jiping (playwright, the representative work: De Ling and Ci Xi).
