Experimental Minju Theater of Fujian Province
The Experimental Minju Theater of Fujian Province was set up in 1998, its predecessor being the Fujian provincial Minju Experimental Troupe, established in 1953, on the basis of an old Fuzhou theatrical troupe.

In 1950-60s, headed by Zheng Yizhou, senior artists such as Chen Chunxuan, Li Mingyu, Huang Yinwu Lin Wuxia, Chen Ping, Guo Xizhu and Hong Shen created and staged some very popular programs including "The Fragrant Butterfly Fan," Purple Jade Hairpin, "Litchi for Crimson peach," "Examining the Official Seal," "Chen Ruolin Beheads the Prince and "Good Brother Zhu Di."

Over the past 40 odd years, the theater has staged some well-devised programs such as "The Official Dismissed," Feng Menglong Settles Lawsuits, Litchi for Crimson Peach, "Falsely Accused," Unceasing Love and Diamond. Among them, "The Official Dismissed won the 7th Wenhua New Play Award, Wenhua Directing Award, and Wenhua Performing Award. The theater has toured Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore well as the regions Hong Kong and Taiwan in the past few years. Major artists of the Theater include Lin Ying, Chen Xinguo, Huang Yuanting, and many others.
