The Chinese Musicians' Association was established in July of 1949.It now has more than 8,000 members. Its subordinate organs include the Chinese Traditional Music Society, Chinese National Orchestral Music society, Chinese Ethnic Minorities Vocal Music Society, Chinese Musical Aesthetics Society, Chinese Musical Literature Society, Nie Er and Xian Xinghai Society and the Chinese Amateur Symphony Society. It publishes several magazines, including People's Music (bi-monthly), Music Creation (quarterly), Songs (monthIy), Words (bi-monthly) and Children's Music (bi-monthly). It has also established the Chinese Musicians' Audio-Visual Studio. |
