Chinese Aeronautical Establishment

Chinese Aeronautical Establishment (CAE), set up in the early 1960s and headquartered in Beijing, is affiliated with China Aviation Industry Corporation and its president is Prof. Zhang Yanzhong, who is also the general manager of the China Aviation Industry Corporation. Chinese Aeronautical Establishment has a technical staff of more than 10,000 people, including over 2,000 senior researchers.

The headquarter consists of Science and Technology Department, Technical Support Department, Administration Department, Graduate Department, International Relationship Office and high-tech development companies.

Chinese Aeronautical Establishment, under the China Aviation Industry Corporation (CAIC), has the following major tasks: to push forward the development of aeronautical science and technology, to carry out major aeronautical experiments and make technological assessment, as well as training aeronautical talents.

With more than 20 institutes over the country and 3 branch institutes, Chinese Aeronautical Establishment has established cooperation relationship with various organizations, such as China's Academy of Sciences, colleges and universities, aviation corporation groups.

Since 1980, the institution has strengthened international cooperation with world scientific research institutes and organizations.
