Daya Bay, located in Shenzhen City of
Guangdong Province and adjacent to Hong Kong and Macao, is an exuberant land
carrying on the reform and opening policy of China. With comparatively stable
crustal conformation, this area is an ideal place for the construction of
nuclear power stations.
Dayawan Nuclear Power Station, lying on the
Daya Bay, has two sets of reactors respectively with an installed capacity of
900,000 kilowatts. It is by far the largest jointly-invested nuclear power
project. The sub-contractor for installation of the station, Guangdong Nuclear
Power Joint Venture Ltd., is jointly invested by Guangdong Nuclear Power
Investment Co., Ltd and Hong Kong Nuclear Power Investment Co., Ltd.
Through ten years of hardworking, the
company, in strict compliance with regulations of the international Atomic
Energy Association and National Nuclear Safety Association, successfully
accomplished the installation task with high quality.
Dayawan Phase I and Phase II were put into
business on Feb. 5, 1994. The success of Dayawan Nuclear Power Station provides
up-to-date technology, qualified personnel and administrant experience for
China's nuclear power industry.
