Emeini Danxing Mulan

Emeini Danxing Mulan belongs to the Magnoliaceae Family, with the Latin name of Parakmeria omeiensis. In China it's mainly distributed in regions of Emei Mountain in Sichuan Province in the western area.

Emeini Danxing Mulan is a sort of large arbor, which can attain the height of up to about 20 meters. It usually grows in broad-leaved evergreen forests 1,000-1,200 meters above sea level. The bark is dark grey and the twigs are smooth. The leaves are slender oval or obovarate and made of keratin. Male flowers and hermaphrodite flowers grow on different individuals. The milky yellow male flower bears 12 tepals, with thin elliptic outer rings and obovoid or spoon-shaped inner rings. The hermaphrodite flower bears 8 to 12 pistils. The key distinction between Emeini Danxing Mulan and Yunnanni Danxing Mulian is that the tepal of the leaf cycles of the former is milky yellow.
