Sichuan Television

Sichuan Television (SCTV) began broadcasting on May 1, 1960. It has two channels, broadcasting around 190 hours of programs each week. It also rebroadcasts programs from another TV station.

SCTV has established business cooperation with television stations in more than 30 countries and regions. Since 1991, SCTV has held the China Sichuan International Television Festival every another year.

SCTV-1, a comprehensive channel transmitted via microwave and satellite, focuses on news, education, arts and sports. Its major programs include Ten Minutes Tonight (Jinwan Shi Fen), Moral & Law (Daode Yu Fa) and Sports Today (Jinri Tiyu).

SCTV-2 mainly serves urban residents, with its major programs including Old Memories (Zhaohua Xishi), Economy World (Jingji Shijie), Urban Glimpse (Dushi Saomiao) and Sports Venue (Titan Xiongfeng).
