Shaanxi Television

Shaanxi Television (SXTV), set up on July 1, 1960, has four channels, braodcasting 427 hours of programs every week. It also rebroadcasts programs from other television stations.

SXTV-1 is a comprehensive channel. Its major programs include Shaanxi News (Shaanxi Xinwen), 24 Hours (Ershisi Xiaoshi), Shaanxi People (Shaanxi Ren) and Golden Earth (Jin Tudi). SXTV-2 focuses on economy, with major programs being Golden Express (Huangjin Xin Ganxian), Today Securities (Jinri Zhengquan) and Moon Bridge (Yueliang Qiao). SXTV-3 features arts, sports, movies and plays. The satellite-transmitted SXTV-4 broadcasts, besides other programs, Shaanxi News (Shaanxi Xinwen), Times Square (Shidai Guangchang), Economy Life Review (Jingji Shenghuo Pingshuo).

The television station boasts 12 studios, covering a total space of less than 600 square meters. It employs analog component devices in its program developing and owns three-dimensional animation systems. It also possesses an audio workstation capable of nonlinear editing. Signals are sent via optical cable from the broadcast monitoring center to the launch pad.
