Ningxia Television

Ningxia Television (NXTV) began broadcasting on October 1, 1970. It has two channels, broadcasting 33 hours of programs every day. It also rebroadcasts programs of CCTV-1 and CCTV-2.

NXTV-1, transmitted via microwave, covers all parts of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and some parts of Shaanxi, Gansu and Inner Mongolia, accessible to 11 million viewers. Signals of NXTV-2, a satellite channel, reach China, North Asia and Southeast Asia. The two channels have 15 self-developed programs, including Ningxia News (Ningxia Xinwen), Noon Report (Wujian Baodao), Evening News (Wanjian Xinwen), Special Report (Tebie Baodao), Services (Fuwu), Sports Venue (Yundong Chang), Exchange (Jiaoliu), Business Info (Shangwu Chuanzhen) and International Movie (Guoji Yingyuan).

NXTV has an 800-square-meter studio, a news studio and a comprehensive studio. It uses analog component devices in its programming and employs an automatic broadcasting system in transmit programs.
