Liaoning Television

Liaoning Television (LNTV) began broadcasting on October 1, 1959. It has two channels, broadcasting altogether 210 hours of programs each week.

LNTV-1, transmitted via satellite, focuses on news, arts, sports and services. Its major programs include Liaoning News (Liaoning Xinwen), News Watch (Xinwen Guancha), Happy Together (Gongdu Hao Shiguang) and Common People (Laobaixing).

The coverage of LNTV-2, whose programs are transmitted via microwave, reaches 87.7 percent of the population in Northeast China's Liaoning Province. LNTV-2 focuses on economy reports, with its major programs being Economy Report (Jingji Baodao), Economy Focus (Jingji Shidian) and Life Topics (Shenghuo Huati).

LNTV mainly uses analog component devices in its programming. It owns nonlinear editing and three-dimensional animation and digital special effect systems. Signals are sent through optical cables from the broadcast monitoring center to the launch pad.
