Jiangxi Television (JXTV), established in
1970, has two self-developed channels: the satellite-transmitted JXTV-1 and
microwave-transmitted JXTV-2. It broadcasts 238 hours of programs in total each
week. Its third channel, JXTV-3, rebroadcasts all CCTV-1 programs.
JXTV-1 is a comprehensive satellite
channel. Its major programs include Jiangxi Satellite TV News (Jiangxi Weishi
Xinwen), Tonight Report (Jinwan Baodao), Society Events (Shehui Chuanzhen),
China Jiangxi (Zhongguo Jiangxi), Jiangxi Countryside (Daohua Xiang Li), Jiangxi
People (Women Jiangxi Ren), Happy Holiday (Jiari Manbu) and Wisdom Garden
(Zhihui Yule Yuan).
JXTV-2, covering more than 80 percent of
Jiangxi Province and some parts of adjacent provinces, focuses on economy
reports and entertainment programs. Among its major programs are Eight O'clock
Tonight (Wanjian 8:00), Story Collections (Gushi) and Movie Theater
(Yingshi Juchang).
The TV station has five studios. It mainly
employs analog component devices in its programming.
