Jiangsu Television (JSTV), established on
May 1, 1960, has two channels, broadcasting 245 hours of programs each week. Its
signals cover Jiangsu Province and some parts of the five provinces adjacent to
Jiangsu, accessible to around 100 million viewers.
JSTV has established business cooperation
with television stations in more than ten countries and regions.
JSTV-1 focuses on news, culture and
sports. Its major programs include Jiangsu New Broadcast (Jiangsu Xinwen
Lianbo), Truth Review (Da Xiezhen), Broad View (Da Shiye), Urban Life (Da Dushi)
and Cultural Horizon (Wenyi Xin Ganxian).
Key programs of JSTV-2 include Urban
Report (Dushi Chuanzhen) and Zhongshan Theater (Zhongshan Da Juyuan).
The Jiangsu Television Station boasts an
18,000-square-meter office building, with a 600-square-meter studio and a
400-square-meter studio. It has quasi-digital broadcasting equipment, computer
animation systems and nonlinear editing systems, and it uses analog component
devices in its programming.
