Hubei Television

Established in 1960, Hubei Television (HBTV) now has two channels, broadcasting 260 hours of programs in total every week.

HBTV-1, or HBTV satellite channel, offers such programs as News Space (Xinwen Kongjian), Happy Tonight (Huanle Jinxiao), Good Morning Hubei (Zao'an Hubei) and Culture Horizon (Wenhua Zongheng)

HBTV-2, transmitted via microwave, covers Hubei Province and some parts of Hubei's adjacent provinces, accessible to 80 million viewers. Its major programs include Hubei News (Hubei Xinwen), Focus Prospect (Jiaodian Toushi), Life Express (Shenghuo Kuaiche) and Economy Life (Jingji Shenghuo).

HBTV employs nonlinear editing systems in its later stages of program developing. Now, it is making efforts to digitize its devices.
