Taiwan Suihuashan

Taiwan Suihuashan belongs to the Taxaceae Family, with the Latin name of Amentotaxus formosana. It is only distributed in Taiwan Province in the southeast of China.

It is a sort of small evergreen arbor, about 7 to 10 meters high. It mainly grows in forests on mountainous areas 850 to 1,000 meters above sea level. The distinction between Amentotaxus formosana and Amentotaxus argotaenia is that the white stomatic band is 2 to 3 times wider than the green sideband. The seeds are obovate, and the leaves are sickle-shaped. The panicle length of male cone is less than 5 centimeters.
