1. Morphological Character        

Plum blossom is a deciduous small arbor. The crown of a tree is round-headed. The trunk is purple brown with vertical stripe. The branch is green and often stingy. The leaf is alternate and ovoid with thin indention at the edge. The aromatic flowers are fasciate, usually one, two or three together, in pink, red and white, etc. The flowers can last from the end of winter to the beginning of spring.

2. Main Points for Planting

Plum blossom prefers sunlight, warmth and wetness. It cannot endure waterlogging, and is barren-resistant and a little resistant to cold and alkali. The best environment of it is fertile soil with good drainage. It is a longevity variety with good fastness. It can be reproduced by means of engrafting, cuttage, layering and semination.
