grows to sexual maturity at the age of a year and half. Under breeding
condition, it has a lifespan of 10 to 12 years. Its antelope horns enjoy
worldwide reputation as of precious medicinal value.
It was originally bred in Junggar Basin of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region
in China, but the wild population has already been extinct, and foreign ones
have been introduced to China, which are under fostering in Gansu Province and
Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, for experiments and researches to restore its
population in the open air.
