It belongs to the Accipitridae family of Falconiformes order, with the scientific name of Haliaeetus leucoryphus (Latin), or Pallas' Fishing Eagle (English).      

Its huge body is about 74 to 90 centimeters long, with the wingspan of two meters. It has dun upper body and brown rectrices with a wide white stripe in the middle. Its chin, larynx and palm are white, and the rest part of lower body is tan. Its rectrices are a very precious panache.

Pallas' Fishing Eagle inhabits in open land, often seen on plains, grasslands, swamplands, fields, and valleys or near lakes. It is distributed in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Tibet Autonomous Region, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and Qinghai and Heilongjiang provinces, feeding on animals, especially fond of young marmots and pikas.
