The three main dialects of Tibet come from Weikang, Kamba and Anduo, respectively. The Layi is a ballad about love sung in the Auduo dialect, which is mainly found in the Qinghai, Gansu andSichuan Provinces.

The Layi has styles, and the singing style has a certain procedure, such as the lead songs, the greeting songs, the falling in love songs, the farewell song and the end song. The melody changes according to regions.

The history of the Layi ballad is glorious, and it is valuable for anthropological and ethnological research.
