With Shanghai Expo 2010 approaching along with the coming spring, the “China•China Exhibition Asian Tour (Japan)” achieved great success at the Shinwa Art Museum Ginza, in the most prosperous location in Tokyo, Japan, from 23rd Feb to 28th Feb.

Masterpieces of 28 Chinese ceramics masters and over 60 contemporary ceramics artists were displayed in this unprecedented and enjoyable ceramics event. One hundred and fifty artworks of Jingdezhen Kilns, Longquan Kiln and Jun Kiln were displayed.

The most famous ceramic artworks from porcelain capital Jindezhen include blue-and-white porcelain, underglazed red, five-color porcelain, famille rose porcelain and other kinds. Longquan Celadon, out of the kiln in Zhejiang Province with the longest history and greatest influence, enjoys the nickname “Ceramics Mother” for its delicate texture and soft color. Jun Kiln ceramics from Henan Province enjoys the favor of Chinese and foreign collectors for its unique procedure, called furnace-transmutation, and the pattern of the earthworm, and this time, Copper Red Glaze of Jun Kilin became the focus of this exhibition.
