Some other activities, such as Flute Quintet Music Presentation, Russian Folk Choir Presentation also opened to the public that day. The Russian minister and cultural counselor from Russian embassy to China attended the Folk Choir Presentation.

According to Linda Huang, Deputy Director of International Arts Exchange, The World Music Series that her department is in charge aims at presenting distinguished folk art forms of various cultures in the world. Ten theme countries are planned in 2010.Traditional music forms from Russia, Mexico, Poland, Germany, Canada and Argentina…are scheduled to be showcased at NCPA this year.

Besides, Linda Huang said they are planning to present one country’s culture on one weekend of each month. The admission to this program will be acceptable to the general public, Huang said.
