Gunter Grossholz was born in Boeblingen, Germany in 1971.From an early age he was a passionate painter and drawer, inspired by life filtered through imagination and reflection.

He learned to play three instruments, was fascinated by sculpturing and writing. He left these for one passion. He studied at Weissenhof Akademie, Baden-Wuerttemberg. Yuxi Wan was born from an artist family in Beijing in 1971.

From early childhood on she was educated in arts, drawing and painting as well as in the traditions and history of chinese art.After studying at Beijing Film Academy and working as a film director for some years, she went to Germany. At the Film Akademy Baden Wuerttemberg she studied four years and explored at the same time her roots in painting. She added her experience of film art and developed her own reflective style of creation.

In 2003 Yuxi Wan and Gunter Grossholz started working together as Wandamuto. They dig in the history, culture and tradition of both countries to explore the commons and differences.

Wan Fung Art Gallery was established in 1986. The following year, it has launched a succession of immense and long-term promotion scheme. Up to the present, it has organized over 600 high-quality art exhibitions in Hong Kong, Taiwan, mainland of China and many other countries in Southeast Asia and also published more than 100 art books. Among those art books, there is one entitled “Twentieth Century Masterworks of Chinese Painting”, which required painstaking preparation and revision for six years, and is highly acclaimed by all circles from the society.
