Dr. Slump
If you ever wondered how anime could be so crazy, all you have to do is watch Dr. Slump. Although some of it is mild in comparison to some other anime you'll see, for a children's show, this show breaks virtually every barrier and taboo. For a show over 20 years old, it's still quite unique.
Ikkyu the Little Monk
Ikkyu is a little boy training to be a monk at Ankokuji Temple. Known for being mischevious and bit of a troublemaker, but also extremely smart, Ikkyu constantly thinks of new ways to outwit his frustrated teachers, helping others at the same time.
Animation of US
US cartoons also occupy a large part of the Chinese TV market. The recent blockbuster movie Transformers saw huge box office returns in China, and one of the reasons is it was a classic series for people who were born and grew up in the 1980s, and that generation turned out in force.
Other Cartoon films include the Lion King, Tom and Jerry, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles,
Shrek, and Finding Nemo - all in high demand amongst Chinese fans.
