Paris Plumes

Brought by Lido de Paris, this cabaret presents a new version of Paris Plumes. The beauty, mystery and character of Parisian women are presented through French-style dance and song as well as multimedia works.

One Century of Cabaret is narrated

This wonderful, artistic, technical and human adventure will give rise to the first show to revisit the most important mythical standards of the history of Parisian cabaret.

In order to tell this story, huge means have been employed.

The show is conceived as a movable box which is composed of fifteen majestic custom-made sets that can be moved as and when the show is produced. More than 25 female and male dancers wearing more than 250 sumptuous costumes will be performing through the different periods of time. In accordance with the purest tradition of cabarets, each of the four tableaux of the show will end with a spectacle of jugglers, acrobats or illusionists.

The show began its international tour in December 2007 by visiting China and will be presented in the Poly Theatre of Beijing in front of an audience of more than 1500 people. More than 40 shows are already scheduled in China. The show will be presented in all five continents, where everyone will get the chance to discover the story of the Parisian cabaret.

An exceptional set

The stage of the show Paris Plumes has been thought as a magnificent jewellery box, both movable according to one’s needs and at the cutting edge of sound and visual technology.

All the fantasy and the innovation of the show are captured thanks to the effects of four swivelling colour-light panels that integrate a LED-face, the installation of a massive electronic projection screen, the presence of human size bottles of champagne, a huge folding staircase, a giant mirror, and the use of smoke machines or luxurious curtains.

Prologue

A white feather appears and twirls around the pitch dark theatre. The feather, symbol of Paris and its music-hall, opens the doors to light dreams…
