Traffic routes: Get off metro line one at the Muxidi station, or Bus No.114, No. 102, No. 103, special No. 6, and No. 320 at the Diaoyutai station.

Beijing is best known for red autumnal leaves. But the most charming leaves are gingko leaves. Beijing has had a long history to plant gingko trees. It is permeated with gingko trees in many places. The most charming and famous gingko avenue is located at the section along the gate of the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse. The gingko trees here are said among the first group planted in Beijing. Diaoyutai has practically become a landmark to view and admire gingko in Beijing.

Tip: The Yingbin Road to the east wall of Diaoyutai State Guesthouse does not have any parking lots. You have to park your cars at Ganjiakou or Sanlihe and then walk there or ride a bicycle there. You could also take dinners at the two places.

Proposals: Gingko leaves would have fully turned yellow in mid and late October. But autumn winds are likely to sweep them to ground. Gingko trees are protected with fences there. A small gate is open at the central part of the line admitting viewers. Do not climb the pointed fences. Take good care of the grasses. Do not throw rubbish everywhere.
